Siding Installation Services in Ballantyne

When you’re ready for new siding, material choice matters. We offer professional installation of multiple siding types. Each option has distinct advantages for your home and budget.

Vinyl Siding Installation

Vinyl siding offers durability, low maintenance, and a wide range of colors and styles. Modern vinyl siding includes UV stabilizers to slow color fading. It doesn’t require painting and provides excellent protection against moisture and pests.

Our vinyl siding installation includes proper underlayment and flashing. This helps support long-term performance in Ballantyne’s climate. Vinyl siding typically lasts 20 to 40 years. It’s a practical choice for homeowners seeking reliable protection without constant upkeep.

Fiber Cement Siding Options

Fiber cement siding delivers the authentic look of wood with superior durability and fire resistance. It stands up to harsh weather and resists rot and insect damage. This material maintains its appearance for decades.

We handle fiber cement installation with precision. This helps support proper expansion and contraction during seasonal temperature changes. Fiber cement performs well in North Carolina’s humid climate. It provides excellent protection against moisture infiltration.

Siding Repair and Replacement

Damaged siding compromises your home’s protection. We identify problems early and recommend the right solution. The choice between repair or replacement depends on the extent of damage and your long-term goals.

Signs Your Siding Needs Repair

Watch for cracked or split boards, gaps between panels, and peeling paint. Soft spots indicate rot. Visible moisture damage, buckling, warping, or loose sections also signal that repair is needed.

Addressing these issues promptly can help prevent water infiltration. Early action can stop more costly damage later. If you notice any of these warning signs, contact Integrity Roofing for a free inspection. We’ll assess your siding’s condition.

When to Replace vs. Repair

Minor damage often calls for targeted repair. However, if your siding shows widespread damage, extensive rot, or is nearing the end of its lifespan, replacement may deliver better long-term value.

We assess your specific situation and recommend the most practical solution for your home. Replacement can become the smarter investment when repair costs approach 50% or more of replacement costs.

For vinyl siding, replacement is typically recommended when siding is more than 20 years old. For fiber cement siding, replacement is typically recommended only after 50+ years or if structural damage is present.

Additional Exterior Services

Siding works as part of your home’s complete exterior system. We also handle soffit and fascia work, trim installation, and moisture barrier assessment. This helps support your entire exterior system.

  • Soffit and fascia repair and replacement
  • Trim and accessory installation
  • Moisture assessment and prevention

The Siding Process

We follow a straightforward process to deliver quality results on schedule.

First, we conduct a thorough inspection and provide a detailed estimate. You’ll see no surprises. Next, we prepare the work area and remove old siding if needed. We install new materials with precision.

Finally, we clean up completely and walk you through the finished work. Our team manages the details, including permits, scheduling, and material delivery. You don’t have to worry about these tasks.

We work efficiently without cutting corners. We keep you informed throughout the project. Most siding projects move forward smoothly because we plan carefully and communicate every step of the way.

Our Warranty

Manufacturer + workmanship warranty.

I Installed A 30 Year Shingle Should Be Good For 30 Years…Right?

Unfortunately, that is not true. The manufacturer’s guarantee is a bit deceiving.

The 30-year manufacturer warranty (or 25, 40, or lifetime) is against manufacturer’s defects. Most new roof structures are designed to supply beneficial services ranging from 15, 20 even 25 years. Some roof system types such as slate and metal structures can last longer.

The actual roof system life span is determined by way of a wide variety of factors, including local climatic and environmental conditions, suitable building and roof system design, quality and suitability, ideal application and adequate roof maintenance.

Therefore, a 30 yr shingle will most likely not last 30 years. We have seen 30-year shingles need to be changed after 10 years due to extreme climatic and environmental conditions. Roofing product manufacturers provide a range of warranties on their products.

Take a close look at these warranties to see what duties and financial responsibilities manufacturers will assume if their merchandise fails to reach their product’s life expectancy.

How Can I Spot A Failing Roof?

When you’re trying to determine how healthy your roof is, the first thing to note is its age. An asphalt roof that’s older than 20 years is overdue for replacement. This is the easiest way to get ahead of the damages that go along with an aging roof, but younger roofs can develop problems too, which is why it’s good to inspect your roof at least twice a year.

Inspection is easy since you can do it from the ground with a good pair of binoculars. Look for shingles that are curling, areas where they’ve cracked or maybe gone missing, or shingles that are missing the granules on top.

Additionally, you might consider heading to the attic on a sunny day to check for holes where light peeks through in the underside of your roof. Problem spots tend to be near the chimney and stack vents.

If your roof is beginning to fail, you’ll see pinholes of sunlight peeking through, indicating that your roof could use a bit of maintenance.

While you’re up there, be sure to check for wet spots in the ceiling. If you see anything suspicious, call a roofer immediately–water damage that has seeped all the way to the attic can be a serious problem.

Does My Roof Need To Be Replaced?

Composition or asphalt shingles typically wear in a discreet way. Granules start coming off leaving black patches showing. Shingles also start to curl at the ends.

In general, some people assume if a roof leaks they need to replace it. Unless it’s an older roof, leaks can normally be repaired. With leaking in older roofs and/or if your roof has a leak in more than one area, this can imply trouble.

Can I Do The Work Myself?

Most roofing work should not be a homemade project. Professional roofing contractors are skilled to safely & correctly repair or replace a roof.

Do-it-yourself can damage a roof with unsuitable roofing strategies and can harm themselves by way of falling through the roof or even falling off the roof.

A do-it-yourself roofing task more often than not results in extra prices and headaches for the owner of a house in the long run.

Can We Add A Second Layer Of Shingles Over An Existing Layer?

Although the benefits of leaving your old shingles are obvious (cheaper, much less labor, faster), unless the preliminary roof is a single, problem-free layer, you could be setting yourself up for trouble.

You should take off the old roof if any of the following are true:

  • Inspection indicates it is in terrible shape—shingles are curled, mossy, split, etc.
  • The decking is sagging, rotting or deteriorating.
  • The new roof is of a lighter material than the original roof. If you put light-weight shingles over heavyweight shingles, all of the old bumps and ridges from the original roof will still show.

Your roof already has more than one layer.

At Integrity Roofing, LLC, we do not do recovers, we believe removing the old shingles and underlayment is necessary to inspect the roof decking. This imperative to assure there are no underlying issues that would cause the new roof to leak.

What Is Flashing?

There are a lot of roofing blogs out there that tell homeowners to check their flashing for damage regularly, but not a lot of them explain what exactly flashing is: it’s the material that’s used over joints in roof construction. It functions as an added layer of protection that keeps water from seeping into vulnerable areas like the valleys in your roof, the area around pipes and your chimney, and around any skylights. Most flashing is made out of aluminum or galvanized steel. From time to time it can come loose or deteriorate at a faster rate, allowing leaks to form in those vulnerable areas.

Luckily, flashing problems are an easy fix, so long as you catch them quickly. Typically you can just add new flashing, or secure the old flashing back down with a roofing adhesive. This is something handy homeowners might be able to do on their own, but if you’re unsure about working on the roof, it’s best to save yourself the stress and just call a professional. Flashing fixes are quick and inexpensive.

It all started when we met with Jen several times throughout the Summer of 2020. We were not in any hurry, but Jen and the Integrity team were able to get our HOI to pay for a new roof, new gutters and gutter protection! The project was completed at the end of December and both teams worked very quickly! It only took the roofing team to tear off and replace 19+ square with clean up in eight short hours as I worked from home! They were even able to save my existing gutter protection which I gave to a close friend! The new gutters and new protection were done in less than four hours, including clean up! You can see, even without the sun, that the new roof and gutters add tremendous value to our home. If you look closely, you can see we switch from a light gray with white gutters, to a dark gray with black gutters! I have yet to find any nails or debris, which is amazing, especially if you have ever done a full tear off!

I am so happy with my new roof and the whole process! I have had my home for 11 years so when I was told I needed a new roof, I didn't know where to begin. Someone recommended Integrity Roofing to me and I should have thought of them first. I've known Michael and Bryan since grade school. Michael came out to do an estimate and offered to come when the insurance adjuster was present. Of the 3 estimates I had done, Michael was the only one to offer this. He made the process smooth and easy for me to understand what would happen next. The guys came out early yesterday morning to start the roofing and were completely done by 3:00pm. I was so pleased with their professionalism and agility. They took extra care cleaning up and Michael even came by after to inspect the work. My new roof looks amazing and I'm beyond pleased with their work! I would HIGHLY recommend these guys to anyone looking to get a new roof!

Integrity Roofing was the best call I could have made when it came to seeing what type of shape our roof was in. I called and within a week Michael and Carly came out to complete an inspection for me. I was impressed with how well both of them knew how well to spot damage on our roof, Carly came back the next morning and helped us call in our claim. She was early and extremely professional and polite, without them we would have been looking into the new roof for moths. The crew Carly picked out worked so fast and were very skilled on our roof. Carly and Michael were there throughout the entire day to watch things and I was surprised at how well things turned out, my yard looked untouched, the pool was kept perfect and I could not be happier with our choice to call Integrity. Jeremy also helped us pick out a new attic fan, I bought it and they installed the solar fan, its working great.

Our home had some damage from storms last summer, so we began our search for a quality, affordable roofing company. We were looking for a company we could trust, and that would support us through the insurance process. Jen Schneider met with us, helped us meander through the insurance process, and their project manager met with our adjuster and was able too easily and quickly get the replacement approved. Once approved, the Integrity team worked with us on a date for the build and completed the project on time. We were very pleased with the quality of the workmanship! Jen and the team addressed the open issues timely and their quality assurance manager, Micheal, inspected the finished product and ensured we were completely satisfied. We loved the Integrity team and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for roof repairs or full replacement.

I am very pleased with our new roof. Jen Schneider was our salesperson and she handled everything with our insurance. We had storm damage and they came out and inspected our roof and helped me contact my insurance and handled it from there. Because of their knowledge they have with wind and hail damage they were able to get my new roof approved within 2 weeks. Everything thing went great from the first day. It was approved, they set up a date to start and workers were there at 7:30 and worked till dark to get finished in 2 days due to rain moving in. They were professional and made sure all trash and nail were removed. Nothing left in yard or shrubs. They came back out after job finished and inspected with me. Was a great experience from start to finish Jimmy.

Austin and Josh started the process with me of getting my damaged roof replaced. Although it took a little longer to get on the schedule, it was worth the wait. They appear to be in demand due to their quality service. They arrived on time and worked diligently. When Integrity's inspector identified some issues, they returned promptly can corrected the issues, exactly as it should be. I feel more confident knowing a roofing expert has examined the roof and ensured it met their standards. They've worked well with the insurance and bank to handle the paperwork on my behalf, which is great! Thanks, Integrity!
